Multiple Streams of income vs One Business Focus
The question of multiple streams of income is extremely important. And for many, it requires a shift in thinking. Most of us are taught we must focus on one thing to be successful. And thus business owners either wind up married to their business, or if the market shifts, they enter a downward spiral of losing money.
So, we learn to focus on one thing until it is up and running smoothly, and then introduce a second stream of income. This philosophy is an expansion of the rule - “never have more than 10% of your income coming in from one client.” In internet marketing, we expand that to never depend on one single income stream, such as Pay Per Click advertising, or AdSense.
Why, you ask? If something happens that you have no control over, you lose your income stream. Not a situation you want to be in. My recommendation is to build out 3 different business platforms over a period of time. The three business platforms are: Internet Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, and Network Marketing. We will go over each of these separately, and in more depth, at another time.
My suggestion would be to learn the principles of combined internet and affiliate marketing to set up your functioning business model. Then add network marketing as the icing on the cake, and use internet marketing to rapidly grow your network marketing business.
If you are already in network marketing, expand to internet marketing to develop your client base, and finally add affiliate marketing to produce multiple streams of income.
If you are a “newbie” to internet marketing, I will be sending you to very specific links, to get “hands on” instructions from experts. Much of the information is free, or very low cost.
If you already have internet marketing experience and want to step your business up to the next level, there will be plenty of information for you also.
This blog is not meant to tell you what to do, but to open your mind to think outside the box, and expand possibilities. My next post will be on real case scenarios of people who put all their eggs in one basket. The intention is to help you formulate a clear plan of action to create a profitable business platform that fits your personal circumstances.
